How to use intention setting to be more productiveSep 08, 2021
You can hack your brain at the start of the day to make sure it points you in the right direction all day long. When you set an intention or goal your unconscious mind goes to work to make you right. So be careful what you wish for!
The reason this helps you stay productive, is that it helps you focus on the things that are important to you. When you have a free moment your mind thinks "Oh I remember what we said we were going to do today!" and points you back on the path to your goals.
OK, so how do you actually do that?
1. Get up 5 minutes earlier that usual (its just 5 minutes - you can do it!)
2. Decide on 3 intentions for the day - for example an ideal way of operating like "I will trust that everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have" or it might be a task like "Call the ATO".
3. Write these down in a journal or put them in your phone. I like writing to help the mind/body connection.
